Slovak-born Prague-based fashion designer MAROSBARAN has created a lookbook that challenges the industry’s obsession with novelty.
The “anti-lookbook” features the designer’s latest collection entitled KOYAANISQATSI, along with three older collections dating from as far back as 2014.
“Designers always tend to show their ‘new’ work, forgetting about ‘the past’,” MAROSBARAN announced on Facebook.
MAROSBARAN is not the only New East designer to critique the fashion world in recent months. For his Spring/Summer 2017 collection, Russian menswear designer Tigran Avetisyan replicated designs from his Spring/Summer 2014 collection, presenting twelve identical coats emblazoned with the words “Nothing Changes”.
