Tatarstan is known for its culinary traditions — even the name of its capital, Kazan, comes from the Tatar word for pot. Armed with a video camera, an appetite and plenty of local goodwill, Lesya Myata travelled deep into the Tatar countryside to explore what lies at the heart of the region’s rich food culture.
