Belles on bikes: the women of Moscow who ride in style

Share on LinkedIn Share via Email
In the summer of 2012, Moscow-based fashion photographer Alena Chendler launched a blog, Cycles Lady, to capture the city's fashionable women on vintage-style bikes. "There are more and more beautiful bicycles in Moscow, and the girls who ride them are more daring in their outfits," says Chendler, who is also one half of Central Park Mag, an online photography project about the city's party scene. "They're not scared of wearing heels, skirts or dresses. The bicycle is a perfect, beautiful form of transport for the city."
