Apart: journey to Kaliningrad with Gosha Rubchinskiy and INRUSSIA

Russian fashion designer and photographer Gosha Rubchinskiy has collaborated with contemporary culture platform INRUSSIA to make short documentary film Apart.

The documentary follows three young men living thousands of miles apart, but who are brought together by the casting call for Rubchinskiy’s Autumn-Winter 2017 show in January this year. Apart sees them travel from their hometowns to Kaliningrad — Russia’s most western city, located in an exclave — to model in the designer’s first show in Russia since he made his Paris Fashion Week debut in June 2014.

Directed by Papaya Dog with cinematography by Maxim Tomash, Apart represents the continued collaboration between INRUSSIA and Gosha Rubchinskiy. Their partnership started with a printed guidebook to Kaliningrad.
