Wear a Kandinsky artwork on your wrist

7 October 2016

Designer Denis Guidone’s new watch for American brand Projects take inspiration from an artwork by Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky, one of the pioneers of abstract modern art.

The Diagram 17 watch takes its dial design from a drawing of the same name made by Kandinsky in 1926. Featuring hands formed of two black lines of varying thickness, which turn independently to create an ever varied composition, three static lines on the dial and two half-circles following the “hours” hand, the watch brings together both curved forms and straight lines in striking fashion.

The watch is available here.
