Hotel Pino Nature, set on Trebević Mountain overlooking the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, has been listed among the finalists for the European Hotel Design Awards.

Together with six other establishments, Hotel Pino Nature is nominated in the Newbuild category.

Designed by prominent Bosnian architect Amir Zec, the hotel was honoured at this year’s Venice Architecture Biennale.

“The Pino team is not only proud, but also very honoured, for being one of the most decorated hotels in the region, perhaps even in Europe, only eight months after the opening. [...] We are honoured [...] that tourists and locals are starting to see Hotel Pino Nature as a symbol of Sarajevo and Trebević,” said Aida Terzić of Relax Tours, which invested heavily in the project.

The European Hotel Design Awards ceremony will take place in London on 21 November.
