Go around the world in 80 days with Hungarian illustrator Lehel Kovács

9 September 2016

Got wanderlust but stuck at home? Budapest-based illustrator Lehel Kovács will take you around the world from the comfort of your chair.

Kovács has created a series of illustrations recreated from Google Street View, inspired by the novel Around the World in 80 Days by French writer Jules Verne. The illustrator follows the route taken by the book’s protagonist, Phileas Fogg, citing the exact locations mentioned in the novel and allowing the viewer to imagine what his journey may have been in the 21st century.

Enjoy your globetrotting!
