Era of Dance: help tell the world about Soviet rave culture

16 August 2016

The makers of a Russian-Latvian documentary film on Soviet rave culture are calling on the public to help fund the movie.

Era of Dance will track the growth of the revolutionary new music culture, which started in Latvia and spread to the entire USSR after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

According to the filmmakers, “the film could become the first documentary in the world on the history of the Soviet techno-revolution”.

They are now looking for funding to be able to buy the rights to the music and archival video footage used in the film, as well as for final edits.

You can get involved by checking out the film’s Crowdfunding campaign.
