Check out these tiny prefab houses by Estonian design collective Kodasema

Dreaming of a new city? Craving the countryside? These tiny prefabricated mobile houses by Estonian design collective Kodasema could be for you.

Featuring an open-plan living area and a mezzanine that can function as a bedroom, the 25 square metre KODA mobile house includes a built-in terrace and can be dismantled and assembled in less than seven hours.

“Much of our quality of life depends on both our home and its location meeting our needs,” said Kodasema. “When choosing where to live however, we may take risks on both fronts. It can be difficult to make major changes to a conventional home as inconvenient and extensive repairs are often involved, or even full demolition and reconstruction.”

While KODA residents are advised to set up shop in a location with access to water, sewage and electricity systems, the house can also produce and conserve energy by way of its quadruple-glazed facade and solar panels, making it suitable for spending short periods in remote settings.

KODA was first exhibited at the 2015 Tallinn Architecture Biennale, and has since made the shortlist for the Small Project award at the World Architecture Festival 2016.
