A treetop walkway in Anykščiai, a town in north-eastern Lithuania, has won a prize at the UN World Tourism Organization’s (UNWTO) awards for innovation in tourism.

The 300 metre-long walkway, which is suspended 21 metres above the ground, was one of five finalists for the UNWTO Award for Innovation in Enterprises. The award was presented at the 12th UNWTO Excellence and Innovation in Tourism awards ceremony in Madrid last week. Sixteen tourism projects from across the world were shortlisted for awards across four categories.
