Shutterbugs invited to capture Moscow life

Shutterbugs invited to capture Moscow life

30 January 2013

A photography competition that seeks to maintain a record of contemporary Moscow life is now open for submissions. The Moscow Multimedia Art Museum launched the competition in 2001 with financial backing from the City of Moscow. The aim of the competition is to support a new generation of photographers and encourage photo reportage as newspaper budgets become increasingly strained.

Three winners will receive €5,000 each and, for the first time, the People’s Choice award will be decided using social media. Highlights from the 2012 competition are now on show at MMAM.
