Barbarestan

The fanciest meal (so far) on Tbilisi’s rapidly reviving rive gauche is at Barbarestan, a ground floor-and-basement restaurant on Aghmashenebeli Avenue. Based on the recipe book of a 19th century aristocrat, it can be easier to order here than at many Tbilisi restaurants: a starter and a main will be fine. Try the duck.
