Ekaterina Kibovskaya

Ekaterina Kibvoskaya was previously behind the much lauded renovation of Gorky Park. Her new project is no less ambitious. Alongside British curator Nadim Samman, Kibovskaya oversaw the Fifth Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. The biennale’s main project, Deep Inside, was held at the Trekhgornaya Factory, a converted textile factory which now houses a swathe of media and creative companies. Kibovskaya underlines that “Moscow is already on a par with New York or London in terms of funds and resources available to artists. However creative industries have been developing elsewhere for decades. We are still fairly young but rapidly closing the gap.”
