A38 cultural hub

A38 is a cultural hub set on a former Ukrainian stone-carrier ship built in the 1960s, which since 2003 has risen from its Soviet ashes to become a cultural hub. The ship’s reconstruction stood as a poetic symbol for freedom, travel, adventure and discovery, which has been reflected in its creative ethos. It’s become a cultural centre that is not only open to staging international, acclaimed acts and avant-garde performances, but offers a place for artists to contribute ideas and unsolicited proposals in an open space that is free from any governmental organisation. But more than this, A38 has earned its reputation for being one of the coolest clubs in Europe, for its unique setting and views across the Danube.
