Ludwig museum

Set inside the minimalist Müpa Budapest, the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art forms part of the Millennium City Centre project, a cultural initiative set in the former industrial neighbourhood on the Danube banks of the IX District. The museum houses a permanent collection which includes superstars from the American pop art movement, but predominantly focusses on eastern and central European art. The space has become a cultural pillar in the contemporary art scene, with its temporary exhibitions from 20th century avant-gardes to contemporaries. The space is split between the Ludwig Museum, the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall and the Festival Theatre.
