Public Secrets

Shot across Vilnius between 2012 and 2014, Public Secrets by Lithuanian photographer and media artist Visvaldas Morkevičius calls itself a “collection of urban experiences”, bringing together intimate images shot at night clubs and parties with images of vacant spaces. Using his camera, Morkevičius imparts these empty rooms with presence: they are charged with energy, as though their inhabitants had left them seconds before the picture was taken. This chimes with the book’s title, and the idea that there is always something left in the urban fabric waiting to be discovered.

Public Secrets is is available from the artist’s website.
