A presentiment is a feeling of foreboding, something Ukrainian-born photographer Yulia Krivich has experienced upon returning home recently. “I’ve been to Ukraine several times during the year and I’ve noticed a certain coincidence: each time I go home, a significant event is about to take place.” Though worry over the future of Ukraine formed the basis of her photo book, Krivich was also interested in exploring the anxiety that comes with being young. In Presentiment, Krivich capture the changes in Ukraine as well as the changes experienced growing up as if they are one in the same.
