The HalalGuide project was launched in 2012. Its aim is to make it easier to search for businesses selling halal goods. Available online and as an app, the project features a prayer timetable, an events calendar, and the addresses of mosques, halal eateries and Muslim clothes shops. There are Russian and Tatar versions of the site. This March, the project received resident status at Kazan’s business incubator IT park.
